Gu-chan with Leg Paralysis

Dr.KK met Gu chan from this lovely Japanese family over 9 years ago. He was such a strong stubborn boy who would fight back when kids decided to bury him. He hated going to a vet clinic or anything similar. 😂

He was treated for skin conditions by Dr. KK back then and everything was flowing nicely. 😀

Up until this year just before Dr.KK’s Japan trip, he was brought into a clinic in a very sad condition. His right ear was wounded with maggots and was completely lying down on one side, unable to stand for 7 days. 🤯

According to the owner, he had a sudden onset of paralysis in his back legs.

However, despite this tough condition, Gu continued to eat!!

Apparently, his owners were scared of taking him to an emergency vet as they were afraid that they were going to be told to euthanize him. Gu-chan’s owners just wanted to give him a chance to recover from this condition. He is now 17 years old and completely blind. They did not want to give up on him!! 🥰

Dr.KK initially treated Gu chan with electro-acupuncture treatment a few times.

The ear was cleaned and flushed thoroughly which continued to be cared for at home by his mum and dad. They gave Tuina Massage (acupressure) to Gu-chan to help him to recover from this condition along with herbs, food therapy, and special acupuncture.

And that he was standing up strongly for us and continuing his golden era.

Mum of Gu Chan told Dr. KK that Gu Chan went over the rainbow bridge peacefully and quietly in their arms with the presence of his little human brother and sister. Until the very last moment, he was running, walking, eating getting love from his family ❤️❤️

Gu-chan, we send you a medal for living hard like a Lion until your very last moment.

RIP Gu-chan. ❤️
