Sara

Acute Back Injury

In March last year my then 10-year-old normally active very happy affectionate dachshund awkwardly came inside and collapsed next to me.  As I gave her a pat she grimaced in pain, when I touched her at the top of her back she cried and gave a little cranky growl trying to move away to avoid my touch.

IVDD in dachshunds is a great concern and this was not the first time Sara had back problems.  Previously our local Vet had treated Sara with heavy pain killers, anti-inflammatories and advised she would most likely need a major operation soon.  In between Sara’s attacks we luckily found KK.  I phoned KK the very next morning to discuss how Sara was she fit us in for an urgent appointment.  As we live 3 hours away it was a big trip we tried to make Sara as comfortable as possible, but she cried with pain with little movement.   We had to carry her in very carefully to see KK as she was not able to walk very well.  KK confirmed acute pain in her thoracic area and provided acupuncture.

The relief Sara received from her treatment was instant, my partner said he would not have believed the transformation it if he had not seen with his own eyes.   KK provided Chinese spinal and pain herbal medicine along with special dietary recommendations which we stick to everyday.  Sara has not looked back.  I have 3 fur babies in my family who are all cared for by KK and I wouldn’t have it any other way we appreciate the love and care she provides.  My only negative is we are 3 hours apart.
