6-Month-Old Female Goose “Gemima”

Presented with paralysis in both limbs, the cause unknown, and no history of trauma, envenomation or toxicity, anti-inflammatory injections where given to Gemima for two days with no real improvement. On the third day acupuncture was given. The next day she was able to stand but not walk. Acupuncture was repeated and by the fourth day she could walk.

Gemima was then sent home, with Dr. Kaori recommending a third acupuncture session in three days if necessary. In that time Gemima the goose was back to her old self, busy playing with her flock mates!
