Renal failure

Peeps is a 13 year old Pomeranian who was diagnosed with renal failure two years ago during a routine pre surgery blood test for a tooth rescaling procedure. Elevated kidney enzymes were detected so an ultrasound followed showing significantly reduced functioning in both kidneys, especially the left kidney. She then started seeing Dr Kk who has been treating her fortnightly with acupuncture and Chinese herbal medication. Peeps also takes a daily supplement of Vetace to help with her kidney function from her local vet. Peeps has had monthly blood screening and occasional ultrasound screening to monitor her condition from her Vet. Although a recent ultrasound detected that her left kidney has stopped functioning thanks to Dr KK she continues to remain a happy little girl and has not shown any decline in her overall behavioural functioning.
